The original seat is a little uncomfortable.
The pedals seem cheap, and gear switching isn't exactly smooth.
Overall, it's a great value for the money. It can be used as a commuter bike and for leisure.

Kryptonite 4 x 9 U-LOCK

Walmart carries the Kryptonite 4 x 9 U-LOCK for $19.97.
It seems solid enough for a regular bike, in a low to moderate crime neighborhood. In for 2.
It's 13 mm (not 15), and it seems to be a cheaper version of the KryptoLok® series 2 Std.
I'm combining this with a chain, just in case.

Bike security

If you want to find your bike in the same spot you left it last night, you need to get serious about security.

There are only a few options, and they are not cheap: OnGuard and Kryptonite.
Don't bother with a cable (unless it's really thick and armored), or with a department store brand. Those will fail very quickly. Get a brand U-lock or chain, made of hardened steel, and with tamper-resistant locks.

You must learn how to lock the bike correctly, in order for the lock to be effective. Always lock the frame to a bike rack or pole. Don't forget about securing the wheels, seat, and anything that can be removed.
